I usually have no problem with The Week clue of the week but this one is driving me nuts.
"Kind of male found in Athens" last letter A. It is probably staring me in the face. HELP!

Alpha ?

Thought of Alpha but could not see any logic in relation to the clue!

1st letter of the Greek Alphabet(Athens) and Alpha male.

alpha male is lead animal in wolf pack (or Alistair Campbell) and alpha is first letter of Greek alphabet. Athens is in Greece, and.... oh well, you get the picture.
