10A: Journeyman fell on part of face, twisting (7)
P?L?R?M
The answer is obviously 'pilgrim' = journeyman (def)
but cannot parse the rest of it?
Help appreciated please!

Lip is the part of face, and twisting = reverse it. Fell and Grim can be synonyms - maybe in the ruthless/very/deadly sense.

Thank you, Malone!
I didn't know that definition of 'fell', so would never have got that.

Chambers has one definition of 'fell' as 'cruel, dire, ruthless, fierce...' . I think I must have encountered the fell/grim before as I thought nothing of it when I did the crossword. (And Chambers adds that this definition is the meaning of 'fell' in 'one fell swoop' - I didn't know that, so am glad I looked it up.)

Some years ago my mother-in-law reported that a friend of hers had completed all the Lakeland 2000 footers. I asked if he had taken some time to do this."No" she said, quite innocently "he did them in one fell swoop."

I like it!
in fact, very clever - even if unintentionally!
