Sitting looking at 13,23 down and getting nowhere and feeling stupid. 'Chambers features a rewrite of profuse rot on county (4-6,4) I have ?O?R-?O?T?R ?E?? Help, please.

Anagram for "profuse rot" followed by an abbreviation for a county, with the whole being something found in a chamber.

I'm badly stick in the NE area. 12ac might help me get moving. Mend outstanding circuitous routes, assuming formerly straight. I have ?E?E?O??????.
And also help please with 6d: Unfortunately not always supporting hack --getting there! I have ?? ?? ??A? I'm surprised no one else reported any trouble in that section :-(
