Rosalind, that was interesting stuff about the artists and the biscuit tins. I mentioned earlier that I kept the 'best' tins - but I don't think Quality Street tins would be included ( a bit big, I think, and maybe a bit garish?). I've just come across another of my ex-shortbread tins - a lovely little robin perched on a snow-filled branch. (It's from M and S, definitely not as collectable as your Olympics tin.)

I am getting a bit disillusioned about the post numbering and the odd post not appearing.
I have this site on my Chromebook which runs on Chrome, my 'phone which uses Opera, and my tablet, which uses Brave browser.
The problem appears on all of them.
I have have cleaned, refreshed etc all of them, logged out, refreshed my broadband and wi-fi, and I do not think the fault is with my equipment.
I use other sites and have no problems with any of them.
I am pondering taking a break to see if the problem sorts itself out.

I looked in just now , browsing (without logging in) and your post at 0611 showed 26906 of 26905.

When I logged in, the same post showed 26905 of 26905.

I think the numbering varies on whether you have 'newest' or 'oldest' first; and whether you are logged in or out.

My last post was 26906 of 26906

I have also noticed the odd post not being shown. I am off the forum to help a friend with an invasion of caterpillars!

So it is not just us folks North of the border who have "wonky" numbering, as Elle was wondering!
I think you are on to something, though.
It matters not if I am logged in or out, the "latest" post has "wonky" numbering.
But....!
I have always had "oldest" posts first, but just now I edited it to "newest" posts first, and behold!
The numbering is correct!
So, I'll leave it like that as an experiment, for now.
It is the "delayed" appearing posts that bug me.
When they are on the main page, but not there when you open the thread!
Anyway, Cerasus, thank you for your input!
