I didn't know that "Rum" is a Scottish island...although I do know that an "inch" is an "island".
Therefore, I could not understand the clue!
I do not go on AnswerBank........I would not know how to find such information as hearing about someone's death? ....
How does one access this AB thread?
I do recall someone called "Mikey" posting on here though - quite recently, in fact.
Would that be the same person?

Mikey posted on here fairly often, usually with queries about the 'i' Saturday crossword. I replied to one of his yesterday, referring him to an answer from Rusty.

It seems so, so odd somehow that a person can be fully themselves one day, asking questions and chatting/chuntering on AB, and then the next... they're just gone. It's awful and sad.
