struggling to find the name of a wood in bowls that is in contact with the jack, all I can find is footer but it doesn't fit I have t*o*h*r.
started this crossword late and am stuck on 3 down also room 7 letters c*n*b*r
thanks for any help. My dad won prizes for crown green bowls but didn't ever learn how he played it, wish he was able to tell me!

and maybe toucher for the bowls I hope as that was the only word which fitted
