I've battled with this puzzle for hours. Finally done now apart from 30a. I've got R_E_N_O_D. If venerable is old I still can't get it. Please help...

Still missing one -- criminal raid with tool shaped like a 29 (ring) -- I have ?O?O?R?L but a couple could be wrong I guess. Then I'm not sure about the Wagner composition in 10ac -- Time to pull back, worse off in part of 29s epic. Can it be Two Lovers? If so, why?

I've discarded it, but I think 10ac was the "other" theme (not Wagner).
