Not a particularly good day for me yesterday (crossword-wise that is)...

Stand on table needing sort of square bolt = trivet. Rivet=bolt, where exactly's the T?

Red-faced, like freshwater fish? = Ruddy. Is there a fish so named? Google failed me.

Old lag's excellent work on TV has nice contents = ex-convict. Looks simple but I just can't work it out.

And one I can't get:

Kiwi personally collects car parts (6). -I-E-S.

The T comes from Table...for Trivet (stand)

Glad you came up with that AJT...I was working on the whole of NICE being part of the solution rather than the contents (IC)...you live and learn dont you !

Hi Chrisg - it's the early morning mental exercise!

The trivet one.
The T refers to square, i.e. a T Square for measuring right angles. The stand on table bit is what a trivet does.
