15a,16a,13a,23a, ! Spaces in the clue are (4,10,2,10) but the spaces on the grid are (4,10,6,6) ? Anyone got any comments ? The clue is ...Look back at the text (The Spanish cover books with borders): fairies are unsociable.

Got it ! They've split one of the words up !! the answer is ( just in case anyone else needs it ) ...... Keep themselves to themselves ! lol

How do yo construct it. Keep is peek backwards. Elves is fairies. But what is everything else.

Look back - Peek/Keep
at the - the
text - ms(manuscript)
The Spanish - el
cover - vest
books - ot(old testament)
with borders - hems
: fairies - elves
are unsociable. - Keep themselves to themselves.

A bit contrived maybe?
