This was a real stinker I kept going down the wrong path. Think I am finished but would like clarification for 14 across clue is "caught fungal disease touching ornamental shrub" six letters I have croton as the answer. Thanks in advance for any help

Yes - a shrub
C(aught) rot (fungal disease) on (touching)

c = caught
fungal disease = rot
touching = on
croton

Caught gives you C
Fungal disease gives Rot
Touching gives On
Ornamental shrub - Croton.
