Pretty sure about the letters. There aren't many words that fit, and I can't relate any of them to the clue. Any suggestions?

heads... but why??

leads = heads (as in leads a team)
heads is also a word for a ship's toilet (John)

I've finished but I'm struggling to parse 25 & 27ac & 24dn. I guessed 25ac from the last part of the clue but I can't make any sense of the rest of it.
Bit of an odd puzzle I thought.

for 27a take your answer add "tea" to it and you should have shipmaster
for 25a lose the first half of TRIVI alise POol GAme, then anagram what's left
