No 6 could be aubergine

\'in\' in \'auberge\' (an inn in french)

Terry, sorry, me being thick again. Could you explain why it is white currant? Thank you.

Hello Kate,
We hold strike = w(hit)e. And after it.
Currant is "ran"(organised) in "curt". Curt meaning rude or short.

Have you got No4 yet. I can't get my brain to go beyond PLANTAIN. Plain around anagram of ANT (worker). But how you square plain with unclear is beyond me.

No8 is probably elderberry rather than just elder.

Back again!

I think 4. Unclear about confused worker? is BLUEBERRY (anagram of bee within blurry).

It can's be plantain I'm afraid as the quiz comes with a list of the possible fruits and veg and it is not on there. It should make it easier but this one has stumped the family! I will keep trying, be glad if anyone can get it because it is the last one now :0)

See above for, hopefully, answer to no. 4 - our posts must have crossed.

I love the answer to no.6, which Marnie gave - best clue there, imo.
