5d I think the first two words are the wordplay (de-tailing a word meaning infinitely), the third word is a definition and the rest of the clue is a second definition supposing the word to be divided into two separate words ...

5D was the last clue that I wasn't able to parse successfully. There were only two words which fitted (the other was an elder religious female), and there were lots of references that fitted, but nothing that was really satisfactory, I sent it in anyway,

james, you could have easily misconstrued my last post.

More doable than some we've had but had live wire for 12ac and knew it wasn't quite right but for ages couldn't see why. Got it now.
2dn/11ac - got the answer but there's an extra 'n' is there not? Word for current followed by anagram.

teenieleek, that's how i read it too (Word for current followed by anagram). but there is only one N in the clue and in the answer.
