From the Wall Street Journal. For Harper's fans, & others, who can't wait or the next edition.
I'll post the cryptic puzzles and the odd variety puzzle, if it looks interesting, like this one.

I'm trying to find title words that will work in the search box in order to have some consistency.

Please use wall (with a space) in the search box for previous posts
(currently none, other than the above).
WSJ doesn't work, nor does wall street - Caps don't matter.
I'll send Admin a query about this.

Thanks for posting this Syzygy, very enjoyable.
My favourite was 35a, even though it's fairly straightforward.
I've never been too good with rebus clues so I left those till last.

Cheers syzygy (and thanks mattrom for "bumping" and bringing it to my notice). Nice puzzle, definitely need crossers to solve/confirm the thematic clues (they're all good but I particularly liked 10 & 30 across and 18 down).
Is this going to be a regular posting syzygy? Hope so.

You're welcome. Glad someone gave it a shot.

Not a big fan of rebus puzzles either but this one had nice mix.
Last in were 1A & 1D. 30 A needed the crosses.
My faves: 12 & 35 A, 3 & 19 D.

I'll try to post one every week or two.
Harper's just arrived & will be up shortly.

Thanks for this one too, syzzie. I love these setters; as I'm sure you know, they used to do the Atlantic Monthly puzzles. I'm looking forward to seeing what they're up to now.

Glad you liked it.

I'm still trying to parse 18A. Rather British, I would say. They seem to like spanking. (-;

Not sure if I want to spend the requisite time on the P Square, for 4 blank spaces - the uncrossed. Well, I do have a month.

Good fun...31D new to me, not entirely sure how 20D works...would litter dropper not work better?

Yes, that would be better.
