Stuck on last two

20a "Special pair of queens in 24 down" (8) and

22d "Partner of 24 downs spinning coats for modish trendy hipster" (6)

I've got - Q - A - D - R and R - Y - H - which if correct would only seem to give SQUANDER AND RHYTHM but just can't parse them.

Any help gratefully received

The outside letters of "ModisH TrendY HipsteR" ,reversed

S QU AND ER, meaning "to 24d"

RHYTHM and 24ds is a well-known genre of music.

The "Argentinian red" is a person, more associated with other countries.

24 three letter word for cut backwards first, then "rocks" in a valuable sense
