Only one I couldn't fully parse today......
23D and 2A: Petty mythological abductor with hard footwear (6,4)
Answer is 'parish pump'

Parish pump = petty (definition)
pump is footwear
Where does the mythological abductor come in?
Am I missing something obvious here?
Help appreciated

Scamp isn't in my Latin dictionary......how about 'rascal ' ? that is ' homo scelestus'
