Having given up crosswords almost completely, by chance I found a "G" today in my French shop for the first time in ages, was most imoressed by yesterday's cryptic & amazed no-one seems to have commented on it here (plenty of praise on Fifteensquared, though). Can only recommend it to those who can still find it: a masterpiece by "Imogen" !

That was lucky, gk! I'll get it from the Grauniad website and give it a go.

You'll need the .pdf version, livs - the puzzle was too inter-related for the normal site to cope!

When I went out for the day I had only entered the first and last across answers. After a tiring day gardening (someone else's garden, preparing for a fern visit) I finished it soaking in the bath* - went well, apart from a few splashes!



*me in the bath, that is, not the paper.
