I've done well today! I finished both the Cryptic and the Quiptic all by myself!!!!!!!!!!!!

But cannot parse one of the Quiptic answers.
19D: Projection gets everything heard by listener.
I've put ' lughole' as the answer= listener(ear):
everything = whole (homophone ' hole') but where does the 'lug' come from? Can't connect it to projection?!

I've read the blog now that I've finished, but am still no wiser as to the explanation.
Please can someone help?

A lug is a projection and hole sounds like whole.

Sorry, our posts crossed! I haven't come across that definition o f 'lug' as something that sticks out (like a projection)
Can see it now from that! thank you (although I sometimes wonder if I'm still speaking English!)

I think "lug" also has an engineering meaning .. it's a "sticking out bit" ..
