(The only 9 letter rulers I can find are potentate and sovereign and these don't make sense)

13d. Greek character overdue with catalogue for collector. 11 ????a??????

25a. Where Jack is at the centre of things. 9

The first is "plutocrat" - anagram

and t collector is "phiatelist" - sorry this is piecemeal!

I see now where I went wrong with amidships. One of the down clues was "Put an end to said language." 6 letters
