24A is STOIC. (SIC around TO).

3D is CONVEXLY (CONVEY around XL).

3d. Gt it! CONVEXLY.

CONVEY is to Transport.
XL is very big.
XL in CONVEY makes CONVEXLY

Thanks. It's a great little forum, let down a little by the user interface which is a bit clunky, but worth it.

Hi John from Arran,
I put in STOIC, and the cast have to ON SET for
the play to begin. Don't bother to send off your
entry,as I think I shall win this week,I have also
sent in the Mephisto,tho' I would rather win the pen than 50 quid.
