I think these are correct (apologies if not), but would appreciate some help with the parsing......

22d. Pump social reformer, "the sailor's friend" (8) - PLIMSOLL (Sailor's Footwear)

27d. Matches prepared with sulphur at the end (5) - GAMES (Matches)

32d. Endless disease in horses makes one reel (7) - STAGGER (Reel)

43d. Bring article up about old soldier (7) - TROOPER (Soldier)

27 Prepared = Game + S (Sulphur)

32 Staggers is a disease of horse, hence - Stagger(s)

43 Article - report (back) around O (old)

43 d. report = article around o(ld)

22 A Pump (shoe) is also known as a PLIMSOLL
