22a no end of trouble in bingeing and dieting (7)
It starts with F but I can't get it. I'm now about half way through but I've had a break and walked the dog by the sea. Oh and I still haven't got 1d. Applied for protection with no end of trouble (4). I'm not loving this crossword.

22 take E out of a word for "bingeing" (eating, really) to give a word for dieting.

Something very similar earlier in the week, I think.

Hint given to me on another thread for 1dn.
