Can anyone tell me is there a good web page to go to,to help me how to do cryptic crosswords.Just can't fathom them out any help greatly appreciated.

You can always come back here with any clue and answer you don't understand and we'll do our best to explain it.

Have a look at http://fifteensquared.net/ (sorry, I don\'t do clever links) which gives answers/reasons/feedback on all the \'top\' crosswords - Grauniad, Indy etc - usually by lunchtime of the same day.

I think one of the best ways of learning is by attempting what you can one day, and then check the soluton given the following day, or week, and work out how the answers fit together. If you do the same one often enough, you will soon work out how the setter's mind works ! lol

Reading this thread made me think of pooksahib who doesn't seem to have been around these parts lately. Hope everything's all right.
