Zinc but why ?

R-L-D ? Ruled ??

RU = (Rugby Union which is "football" as opposed to soccer!
L.E.D. = Light emitting diode

So Ru + led = RULED

10a z is a variable in algebra plus inc for edge, though I would have thought this would be inch?
