It's looking like a definite Christmas Eve Publish.

I've got nearly everything in now but I have sent out emails confirming clues and a few of them need to be checked as I need a quick email back from some of you just to clarify a few things.

I'm working today but will be formatting later (Monday night) and most likely will finish everything for Christmas Eve. I'll try and get it on early but if I can't quite make it because of work commitments, I'll certainly be no later than late afternoon Tuesday after I finish work.

Hope that's ok for you

Take care, Les40

Hi Les,
When I first came on this forum I assumed you lived on the other side of the pond due to the times of your postings!
It really doesn't matter if we have to wait a while. I'm sure it will be worth it.

No Rossim, I dwell in sunny Lancashire, I understand your thinking I must live elsewhere because of the times I post. I suffer quite bad insomnia and sometimes can't sleep proper for days, before I was working full time I used to just stay up all night swapping crossword chat and general stuff with aristophanes and Syzygy. I still do this regularly at weekends but in the week I have to try and rest as I have to be up for work in the morning.

Anyway, back to the latest update.

I have (I think) everything I need now to prepare the final grid and I'm gonna have one of those rests now so I'm refreshed for tomorrow when I'll be finalising the grid after I finish work and finish a couple of errands I must do.
If I do find that I've missed any small bits from the clue writing, i'll finish them myself and won't be contacting anyone again until I publish the Christmas Special Joint Effort.

Have a good day all, and thanks for all your efforts and most of all, your unending patience.

Goodnight, Les40

Just chill, Les, & take your time. Everyone will be busy stuffing their faces with turkey, ham, etc.

Cheers, mate, & Merry Christmas.
And the same to all the rest of the crew!

Quick update to those of you who may be waiting for the grid.
I've got the end in sight, it will be published tonight and hopefully in the next couple of hours maximum. Sorry it's taking a long time but I have quite a lot of double checking to do with this one, it's definitely worth it I feel, it's looking really good

Ps. Wow! what a lovely surprise, just noticed all those irritating adverts have disappeared from the site, is this a new thing today?

Speak soon, later

Oh blinkin' heck, I haven't finished yet guys, realised I had to write 4 more clues myself. Anyway, I've done 'em now but go to bed if you want cus i'm gonna be a bit longer yet.
It will certainly be on here before I go to bed but can't say an exact time cus I thought I would have been done by now and it's taking longer than I thought.

Hopefully see ya soon.

You're a wonder, Les. Relax a bit and enjoy the holiday; I'm sure we're all swamped anyway. Off to do a concert. See you tomorrow. Merry Christmas!
