Oh no! I spent quite a long time on this yesterday and Saturday, and I have to say I didn't understand many of the clues. Even once I worked out the music/composer thing it didn't help much. I haven't got the will to change the answers I've got so i can fit in the final answers. I've decided it will be one of the ones I've failed to finish. I think I'll have to stick to the Sunday Independent as I did finish that one. Thank you for the
help. Merry Christmas x

Actually, I found the themed answers made it too easy. When I solved a work, all I had to do was look to see where its composer would fit (reading the clue barely necessary). A little trickier if the composer came first, but not much, as most of the works chosen were the most obvious ones.

36 is a themed one - it goes with 45d
Your other two I have answers for, but I'm not totally convinced.
My island is Scottish, but I wonder if the compilers have erred on this one. I could only find one word to fit the other.

Chris: the abb. for this Georgia (in Asia --- or is it Europe?) is different from that for the G. in the U.S.---
does it seem OK for you now?
