Two words : clue is "Site of an 18th century Christian settlement"

I have no idea of the answer,but looking at the
second set of letters,the word ISLAND springs
to mind. At this point in time I have no idea
which island.

The answer could be PITCAIRN ISLAND.
Only 48 inhabitants live on this island in the Pacific Ocean.

I think PITCAIRN is spot on,inasmuch Fletcher
Christian settled there with the mutineers from
HMS Bounty. I was thinking Caldey island or its
ilk.
