Thanks all for taking part and many more thanks to AB for putting together the Wordplay Files again.

I do hope this clarifies any head scratching and don't hesitate to ask for more if you still don't quite see some wordplay.

I'll just take this opportunity to let everyone know that I won't be producing a grid in early December as I haven't got enough time because I'm producing a Christmas Special that's gonna be a bit different and will take two phases of clue writing by each setter, phase one will proceed in the next couple of weeks so that it can be ready for publish in time for the festive break. Don't worry, it's not a bonkers idea, I feel you will really enjoy it but I can't give too much away yet so as not to spoil the surprise.

For the first I have a full house! Loads of strange definitions from Chambers this time and several new words to me. Google has been very busy and it's been great fun.

I didn't get INNING, otherwise correct. Favourite among many good clues was GK's LATEX.
