I confess that I still haven't finished this, despite several days of occasional progress. I'm missing most of the "middle top". I've got 4dn (of course!), but the only other ones I have are 17dn, 25dn and 16 ac (and I'm not convinced I have the latter two right).
Would it be possible for anyone to give my some subtle hints? (possibly on another thread, so as not to pollute this one?)

Inspiration struck and I have now finished the "middle middle" - still stuck on "top middle" though............

I had tried "Massachusetts jewel" but mainly got Indian restaurants ("Jewel of India" seems a popular name in Boston etc.)

The Fern Expert (and ex-doctor) got 5dn, thus enabling me to finish. Some I haven't parsed, and 2 I wouldn't have got at all if each letter wasn't checked!

I am completely stumped on the top, apart from 10 ac , which I only got as a result of the hint

Could someone please give me a hint re 1dn or 1ac? On another thread maybe if you think that'll spoil it for others
