I now have K-I-G
I want it to have a c for caught in it, and I want it to end in ING. However, it could be the name of a wind, and flooring could be rug... on the other hand, KRIEG is a sort of powerful think if you speak a bit of German. Frankly, I don't know, would somebody help out, please?

Boxing, KO ing, as in knocking out. Not impressed.

Agreed, I assume that this isn't a proper word.

I certainly hope it isn't! at any rate.

This weeks crossword has been a real struggle for me, some of the answers I've got, I cannot fathom out the parsing.
