Some time ago I didn’t have time to do the crossword interactively so I clicked on the PDF link and printed it. I noticed the PDF page had a URL of the form:
http://static.guim.co.uk/crosswords/pdfs/gdn.cryptic.nnnnnnnn.pdf
where “nnnnnnnn” is a unique number for each crossword that increases by 1 for each puzzle.
Often I’ve found if the interactive puzzle is not available then the PDF one is. In this case I “looked at” the PDF for Paul’s Friday puzzle and found:
http://static.guim.co.uk/crosswords/pdfs/gdn.cryptic.20130906.pdf
So I changed the last 6 to a 7 – and hey presto there it was.

The reason there is only one correct solution whereas the answers could fit in two ways is surely given by a piece of typical Araucarian brilliance in the clue to “T” – “where [it (ie theanswer) is] to be displayed.”
