I still can't find the crossword page (although if there's any point now, I don't know).

I followed as much as I could of the first post here, got the "Not available" message, and added three numbers to the address page :

http://www.theguardian.com/crosswords/2007/sep/03/crossword-editor-update1123

I've had no luck with that whatsoever though.

I have answers but they puzzle me...
Across
12 Act that involves taking off top of skimpy outfit (4) S-I-
T= T shirt?
13 Anti-5? No, a variant (anti-17, say) (8) -O-A-I-N
I get the anagram, but not the rest. Is this one of the eight?
22 Original soul state (5,1) -R-A-X (X = slight guess)
As in Newsnight's Mark? And the ----- Soul Orchestra, but how does X (pres.) = state?

Down
21 Rupture of Ireland in olden times, but not in the same place (6) -E-N-A
anag of erin? but what's HA?
23 Amino acid in case where one end of nexus replaces the other (6)X-L-N-
presumably N swops to S or vice versa - I thought it was xylene but xylese doesn't mean anything (I'm useless at science, never having been taught much of it, so haven't a clue)

Copy & paste the whole thing, then add a number. Don't click the blue bit - that won't work.

12a Take the outside letters of skimpy outfit - defn is "taking off"
13a V = 5 then it's an anagram - it's on of the themed ones (the "one of them disputedly")
22a another of the 8 themed ones - last letter is V to fit the amino acid in the down clue
21d Old name for Ireland less 2 word latin for in the same place. defn = rupture
23a you need a 6 letter word for case (French?) then change the S to an N (1st and last letters of nexus)

Thanks livs and sudokolover. The latter I can enter on-line (if it's worth bothering!)

Thank you, sudokulover!

12a Take the outside letters of skimpy outfit - defn is "taking off"
Ah, I saw 'taking off top' and 'of skimpy' meaning taking off the first 3 letters of 'skimpy' = SKI + T for T-shirt (well, it's a kind of 'outfit'). I hesitate to argue, but where does 'top' fit otherwise? More like top and tail.

13a Yes, I saw the anag and got the answer, I just couldn't find him in the list.

22a Yes, I just didn't know which one he'd be!

21d Doh! And I always think that name means Scotland, no matter how often I'm corrected. Double doh!

23a Cheers - got it. As I said, no science education except rudimentary physics. Always regretted that.
