Just one left which has defeated me:

10A The interpretation of signs or omens (6) ?U?O?Y

EULOGY, EUNOMY and FUMACY all fit the letters but none fit the clue. Any ideas?

I think all the letters are correct as they are the third letters respectively of each of these clues:

6D Largest constituent Emirate of the UAE (3,5) ABU DHABI

7D Egytian tree with divided trunk and edible fruit (4,4) DOOM PALM

8D Narrative epic poem but of shorter extent (8) EPYLLION

Hello John - Augury makes sense for the clue but not for your doom palm?

And have just discovered that yiu can spell teh palm either doom or doum?
