Hi everyone, this is definitely more difficult than composing entries and while the acknowledgement of a good clue is extremely gratifying, "winning" is something of a poisoned chalice.
I gave up on the dongle as it wasn't providing a consistent connection so I've reverted to my phone (no copy and paste facility). I really hope the link to the "prize" works this time.
I'll be back shortly after 6, in case there are last minute entries, with a decision.

Yet again lots of imaginative and clever entries all with merit but it's not practical to mention each one. I like GK's use of HAL and the particularly good extraction anagrams (I'm probably biased) that also read well from fiery @12, les40 @16, BBM2 @17, aristo @18 and kiwikid @ 27. However, my 2 against the field are ab @11 and ixion @32 with marginal preference for ixion's
