I agree with you Mags. The restraining garment is spelt straitjacket I thought ? Or maybe it can be either spelling.

Thanks again, Jazzgirl. I thought cybernetics was something to do with science fiction! I looked up `straightjacket` and, as I thought, it was shown as `straitjacket`. (and it`s just been underlined in red here).

I just checked in Chambers ('72 edition )and it shows only "strait " not straight.
