still stuck on this one from a few days ago. does anyone have some clues that could help me solve 5D, so far have only last letter as M. [PM?]
6D, so far have '- - - - - - -T - A'
my mother and i are ripping our hair out over this one , she's 80, we need an icebreak for this top corner!

haha, just worked out 5D, so that's ok, now still looking for a clue for 6D, would be so grateful...

hibiscus, if you added the clue (and said what paper etc although i think it was the grauniad) you would get more help. i think i did this but don't remember.

I think it is Saturday's prize crossword in Guardian. Many folk on here dont have the paper so giving the clue is essential if you want an answer. Hint for 11 down. Both the letters you have are wrong.

thanks Trevor, i got this from the Guardian website, not the paper. here's the number/clue Prize Crossword number 26011, set by Paul. clue is 6D [ 'dumb view about first of players, learner in game']. answer is 10 letters, i have " _ P_ E _ _ _ T _ S" so far, if my words across are correct. thanks for helpful advice, first time on this forum : )

"7-19 thing with feathers in lift" 8 letters.
I have "_ _ _ _ _ _ E _"
the 7-19 reference is "figure hugging"
