Need some help parsing these.....

Extend way out of Eastern church - STRETCH (If Eastern = E and Church = CH where does the rest come from?)

Counters for bank employees (7) - TELLERS are bank employees but why 'Counters'?

Tellers count votes, don't they...?

way = STREET, take E out +CH STRETCH
