I'm stumped by two little letters!
2d Gang member in murder overlooked by CID? (HO?IE). Looks like 'hoodie', but not enough spaces in grid!
And 25d ...ls situated round edge if imperium (LI?ES). Looks like 'lives', but why? ('...ls' is probably LS, not IS)...

Just a wild guess...gang member,,,,,homie ?

Just noticed a typo in my first post - 25d should read 'of', not 'if'.

I'd really love to know how 25d works out. It's had me thinking.....but now it's bedtime.

Sorry for late reply - have been entertaining relatives!

a drink = ONE, as in "I'll have a cold one", around a bit of "R"ichness.

Chambers gives "one" = A drink, as in a quick one.

Has anybody found an online pdf for this Azed? I have a complete solution but only the Guardian's grotty "print" version to enter it onto.
