Anyone doing the Azed today? Have been looking at it for half an hour and have got one definite so far! Spoonerisms are my least favourite type of clue!

I have done more than half of it since posting, but still struggling! Need to go out soon, so will have to continue at a later date!!

Looked at your helpful suggestions before I leave - I have answers for all of these, but don't fully understand my answer to 28a!

3A gas = prattle + type of fish (spoonerism)

It is midnight and I have just got back in, but could not resist a quick look to see if there were any more postings on this Azed!
Pensionerpat, I agree. Some fish are very talkative.
Hanker, I think you mean 27d: whiff states (American spelling).

6d: ko (Maori foot plough) + load

9d: still working on!

9d wean pus (though not entirely sure as I thought wean (bairn) was pronounced to rhyme with dane rather than dean)
