Please can you help and explain this one to me.
Battled with Sir Galahad, say, for some time (9)
I am also not sure how to reply and continue this thread I seem to have to restart each time! As you can guess I have only been doing cryptics for a few weeks and they are very interesting sometimes. thanks again for your patience

battled (fought) with sir galahad (knight) say (sounds like) some time (definition)

This will be fortnight. battle= fought sounds like (say) fort, Sir Galahad is a knight, which (say) sounds like night.
So fort+night = fortnight.
