I'm struggling with 39A Radio presentation of Welshman with joke book

I have D?G?I? and am thinking Welshman is Dai but just can't fathom it. Also possibility of anagram of radio and something - W?

I must have something wrong, my G comes from GROWING UP

I have digest- radio presentation means sounds like welshman ie di sounds like dai and gest sounds like jest and digest is a book
