For those with the crossword, the girls I have are 13 and 29ac, and 3, 7 and 18 dn. (I haven't counted 15dn as it doesn't seem to need the extra girl.)

Sorry Chrise, I cannot help you there as I am not doing this xword. I have seen the two answers elsewhere.

However I had 9ac without needing the girl (nevertheless inside punt, of the gamble sort). Do you think this might be a mistake by Brummie?

Having answered neko's on the other thread, I see where I have misread 9ac!

Chris: Don't you think the whole thing today is pretty ingenious? It took me a lot of head-scratching, and for 28 I originally had "Oscar" & couldn't work it out (no wonder, it was off-track)but
looking back I can't remember a Brummie that pleased me so much!

I have PATRIOT, but cannot parse it, except there's a lady at the front and a riot is a disturbance, but where do the state chamber musicians come in?
