Welcome to 4 Cryptic. I have set this puzzle and therefore am not looking for individual answers.

4 clues 4 individual answers,once solved take the first and last letters of each answer jumble them and find the Anagram.

There is no time limit, this is INDIVIDUAL EFFORT

1 Maintains a return pressure (7)

2 I leave the law to the big guns (8)

3 Perfect voice for a trio ? (6)

4 Its nonsense to compel a number (6)

Hi imagcq,
Do you mean you don't want the 4 individual answers to the clues but the 8 letter answer to the anagram of the letters from the start and finish of the clues.
Or do you mean you don't want anyone to answer at all.
I think I have the answer, should I keep it to myself?

I've got the others but I can't get #1 so I can't make any further progress until someone posts or gives me a hint!

THis is where the problem always lies les40 if you just give the anagram others can still play,but some players objected to that previously. OK give me the anagram and we will see if your right.
