Re previous Andyc/Bernie banter regarding 31A
US store returned deposit in plane to Scotland, I've got DYNAMITE, but can't see the parsing. Help please.

Hi bill
Andyc supplied the crucial part on the other thread. The solution is SYCAMORE, referred to by Scots as "plane" (tree); MACYS (the store) backwards, then ORE for "deposit.

Chris answered it before Bill as sycamore:
the US Store is Macy's returned = sycam + ore (deposit).
Plane is the Scottish word for the sycamore tree.
