22d. Sewer item produces irritation (6) Needle.
It took me ages to realise "sewer" meant something to do with sewing as opposed to something to do with sewers (sewer rat etc) Another to go with "flower" bloom/river.

A sewers item = needle + irritation = needle

Yes Busby I got the answer, I was commenting on the dual meaning of Sewer!
