Posted earlier but no response! Please explain cryptic parts of following clues.

10 ac: Came back to a particular camp and stayed. Answer seems to be resided - I have the r, s, d, d.

7 dn: Drink it on 6k runs (9). Answer seems to be the drink vodkatini, but why.

rojerjw. I'm not very good at explaining things but here goes. 10a. When you have a foot in a particular camp, you are taking sides, so coming back would be resided. Apologies for baffling you, told you I can't explain very well!!

was looking at 7d earlier and cannot see where 'DA' fits in.

VI = 6 + K + IT + ON (NO 'DA') ?

if you go back, you would Re- Side
ie, take an exam would be to sit an exam.

if you fail, you would re-sit an exam.

Have now seen through clue 7dn, which I think is a little unfair. Here goes.

Drink it on 6k runs. The 6 refers to thew answer to 6 across which is avid. Runs indicates an anagram. Thus vodkatini is an anagram of: it on (avid) k.
