daw, the first letter of 26d is not W, and that is what is misleading you. It's not the word you are thinking of for 'conflict'. Suggest you check what other letter could go in front of the 4 you have and look up its definition in Chambers.

Thank you, Redmare. As the fact that 29, being one of the ten alterations, had escaped me, I had erroneously presumed that 28 was the tenth. In fact, I have corrected two mistakes (adding J and Y and eliminating W and E), one in 28 and the other in 29.
