I can't finish the top right-hand corner, 8dn, 9dn and 11ac.

11ac Check on a dazzling display in carriage 7:

8dn Star in East, twinkling, seen by chance. 8. I have: A???R?S?
9dn Seadog's steamer 5-9
???A? - G?E?H?U?D
I'm assuming the second word is GREYHOUND, and I know this is a kind of steamer, but I can't get the first word!

OCEAN GREYHOUND

8d East + Risk (chance) = Asterisk (star)

I have now solved 11ac, though I can't parse it.

Check is CH (chess) and a dazzlking display is A RIOT. Put together gives CHARIOT = a carriage

Thanks! I had spotted A RIOT, but I wasn't familiar with CH for chess. Still, I know it now.
