Usually the next bus would be full and the conductor would laugh as the bus went by - those were the good old days?

In Scotland, if a passenger did not have enough money for the bus fare,the conductor/conductress (most of the clippies up here were females) would use the well known oxmoron...'Come on..get off' !!!

Thanks for your replies ,brought back memories of the clippies on the buses ,those were the days .
