what about 'holds faith'

faith is a virtue and i have heard the saying 'forever holds faith' before but cannot find any reference.

Yes thought it might be holds faith but still cannot see where the speech bit comes in.

If it were the other way around it could be Waste words
But it isn't

If your letters were the other way round -

Waste Words which would fit the clue perfectly?!
